Here are some of the customer reviews of Winterpast:

Evinea, a Siamese Cat lover, 06/08/2007 Delightful This is just a delightful book to have in your home. Claire is a great author, and I am glad to have copy of this book. Amy at Evinea Cattery

Rain, a not so average person, 01/31/2007 Clarity of someone uncluttered I find this poetry refreshing. The clarity from where it comes, seems to be someone unclutttered, who can just say what is, in such a simple yet profound way. This is inspiring, impressive and true.

Tham, A reviewer, 01/20/2007 Delicate beauty expressed Beauty expressed with complete clarity from an insightful soul. A pure joy to read.

Lizabeth White (lcwhite@charter.net), the parent of a young teen., 12/14/2006 Perfect for young teens and all ages An amazing work depicting both the whimsical imagination and the deep emotional thoughts of a young teen, Winterpast is a must for young writers. Clair LaFleur's work serves as an inspiration to teens and young adults seeking to express through the art of prose. Adult readers will gain incredible insights concerning their young teens' emotions. I highly recommend Winterpast to inspire gifted young writers and those who seek to teach and mentor.

Eva-Lisa Svensson, A reviewer, 12/08/2006 What a wonderful treat What a wonderful treat to read this book. How wonderful to read it again and again. I lend it to my mother. And I think i will buy an extra copy that I can share. There are so many of the poems that strike my heart and I don't know where to start. If I only should mention two it would be Mothers and Daughters and Girl in the Mirror. Haven't everyone felt the feeling of that the person in the mirror really isn't your reflection but a person of their own? Cause I can't possibly look like that, can I? I could go on forever, but since my words can't do these poems justice I suggest you read them and find out for yourself.

A. Brewington, An amateur poet, 12/03/2006 DELICIOUS LITTLE PACKAGE! What a wonderful collection - a gift on every page! I just finished reading Winterpast for the third time and still am impressed by all the imaginings that go on inside this young author's head. Winterpast is most excellent served with a tall glass of cold milk and unlimited cookies.

Patrick D. Sharp, A reviewer, 10/29/2006 The Cat's Meow I was very moved by Claire's poetry and couldn't put the book down until I read every word of it. In fact I was so impressed that I shared the book with all my family and friends who were also amazed and moved by Claire's talent and sensitivity. It shows a maturity and depth far beyond her young

Kip Shuford, A reviewer, 10/27/2006 Reflective and Creates Loving Memories Winterpast is a wonderful collection of 43 poems written with a life experience one would not expect from a thirteen year old. Ms. LaFleur has placed upon the pages of Winterpast a collection of thoughts and memories that are so truthful and real. Expressions of life we all feel, yet do not have the ability to transfer to written word. I am thankful that I own a copy of Winterpast, because each poem creates a positive reflection no matter how many times I read it. Who among us hasn't thought the same as 'Surrealism' as described on page 9. I am fortunate that I grow blueberry's, yet her 'Ode' on page 12 tells you the story I am unable to communicate. The 'Guardian' on page 22 was obviously written about my cat, while the simple truth of 'Death' on page 20 stregthens my beliefs even more. On and on, Ms. LaFleur's poems live life. You would be glad that you purchased the book. I know that I have been blessed with its many messages. Enjoy!!

Janice Sweeter, A reviewer, 10/02/2006 Cozy. Touching. Real. FABULOUS! I LOVED Winterpast. Cozy. Touching. Real. FABULOUS. I started at the back and re-read Mothers and Daughters then read from beginning to end and savored that one again like my steaming green tea. ('Each inherits her soul from the women who taught her.') Ode to a Blueberry definitely evoked our friend AA. And you have to love someone who finds words to be her 'smartest debate partner' as she chats with the color orange. And I got a kick out of the rhyme La Fleur and mature. I loved Ere Night and all the lyrical Greek myths embodied there. I always found great comfort in the deep connection between the Greek gods and the words we love. La Fleur digs into complex emotions and paradigms with such a facile confidence and raw feelings. It certainly helps the reader whether she is a former or present 13-year old -- to know that she is not alone.
